A Note to Our ClassPass Users
Lotus Blossom Yoga will be terminating our arrangement with ClassPass as soon as our user agreement allows. In the meantime, we are reducing ClassPass spots in all of our classes. Unfortunately, after nearly a year of giving their system a try, we have found that the partnership undermines the sustainability of our studio. We're happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you're interested; just reach out and ask.
Lotus Blossom Yoga prides ourselves on operating with high standards. All of our teachers far exceed training requirements set forth by the Yoga Alliance, the trade organization for yoga professionals. Beyond training, all Lotus Blossom teachers consistently display a high level of commitment to expanding their knowledge base and supporting their students. One way we honor our teachers and ensure that they are able to continue to provide high quality teaching to our community is guaranteeing them a pay rate that exceeds local industry standards- our single most expensive operating cost. When class attendance is heavily made up of ClassPass users, we unfortunately do not bring in enough revenue to cover our teacher's pay and are forced to run classes at a loss. We are not the only studio feeling squeezed by ClassPass' business model. Local studio owners have personally expressed frustration working with ClassPass and recently Vice.com published an article entitled "ClassPass Is Squeezing Studios to the Point of Death."
We are committed to provide you with the quality of teaching you deserve. Thus, we must limit our involvement with ClassPass. We apologize for any inconvenience to our ClassPass users. We hope that you value our service and will continue to practice with us at a fair market rate by purchasing class credits directly through our studio. In an act of good faith, we are offering all of our students an additional 10% off your next purchase of 5 or 10 class credits with code SUSTAINABLE10. Code expires March 15, 2020.
